What is the RMA process at US LED?

Learn about US LED's Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, including eligibility requirements, return instructions, warranty coverage, and how to resolve product concerns efficiently.

The Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process at US LED is designed to facilitate the return, inspection, and resolution of lighting product issues. To initiate an RMA request, Purchasers must send a request to RA@usled.com with the following information:

  • Original sales order, purchase order, or invoice
  • Customer reference and contact information
  • Status of the units (e.g., installed or still in the box)
  • Description of the product's condition (e.g., malfunctioning, partially malfunctioning)
  • Reason for the return

Once a request has been received, US LED will evaluate it to determine eligibility. US LED will issue an RMA if approved, and return instructions will be provided for the failed product.

Products authorized for return must be packaged adequately by the Purchaser and shipped to US LED, with all freight costs prepaid. The Purchaser is responsible for paying all return shipping charges for the product that is serviced and returned.

For Returns With A Warranty Claim:

After an RMA is issued, US LED will ship a replacement fixture with the following conditions:

  • The Purchaser will be invoiced for the replacement fixture, including freight.
  • If the failed fixture is indeed defective, the invoice for the replacements will be voided.
  • If the failed fixture is not returned, the customer will be expected to pay the invoice for the replacement fixture.
  • If the returned fixture is determined to not qualify for a warranty replacement after inspection, the customer will be expected to pay the invoice for the replacement fixture.
    • The Purchaser will be asked for instructions regarding the disposition of the returned fixture. US LED can either ship the fixture back to the Purchaser with the Purchaser paying for the freight or dispose of the fixture entirely.
    • If the customer does not provide US LED instructions within 30 days, the returned product will be disposed of, and the RMA will be closed.

For All Other Returns:

Products can only be returned if an RMA is obtained from US LED. Any unauthorized returns or shipping containers that do not display a return authorization number will be sent back to the Purchaser at their own cost.

Return shipments must be prepaid, insured, and shipped at the buyer's expense. To qualify for credit (subject to inspection), returned merchandise must be in its original sealed cartons and sellable condition. All returns will incur a 25% handling and inspection fee, and a deduction will be made for the freight costs of the original shipment.

No special products, non-stocked products, custom-made products, or outdated or modified versions of cataloged stocking items may be returned by the buyer.
